This is the corn syrup-based stage blood recipe that we've been using for years. Based on Dick Smith's formula, we have had a lot of success over the years using this stage blood compound.
Our stage blood very rarely stains costumes, fabric, sets, props, or people. However, IT WILL stain untreated concrete/gypsum, wood, and other sponge-like, porous materials. Occasionally, it will also stain family heirlooms and famous people. Our stage blood has a deep rich color, flows like real blood, and will not bead up on skin. Our recipe is squib-ready, but can be thinned down further as desired.
